What is Shamanic Coaching?
Shamanic coaching is like life coaching, but from a shamanic perspective that incorporates core shamanic techniques. Think of it as a psycho-shamanic process aligning with the Celtic Wisdom Wheel, or a holistic approach for spiritual and personal development. Shamanic coaching includes some psycho-spiritual concepts, and some psychological language we’re all familiar with, but is not considered a clinical intervention in any way. Sessions involves a practitioner going in a diagnostic shamanic journey to hone in on the essence of a client’s symptoms. Then there’s conversation to clarify the issue, and determine what solution is best for a client’s circumstances. If a healing session is required, it is performed on an energetic/spiritual level during a practitioner journey on behalf of a client. Afterwards, there may be instructions for integrating the healing, or follow sessions to continue a process. Most shamanic healing spans several sessions.
Specific advice or recommendations for personal solutions are not part of a shamanic protocol—but what is gained may be insight, clarification or additional presence required for a you to lift confusion, try something new, or make a better decision. Shamanic coaching involves shamanic energy work that works on different parts of our psyche that’s not always accessible to us. Shamanic coaching does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of diagnosed mental illness, nor is it a substitute for services from a licensed therapist or counselor when deemed appropriate.
